Next Gen Youth Programming

After-school and summer programs for at-risk youth ages 13-17. Participants have opportunities to enjoy art, gardening, music, cooking, community service, learning new skills, and sharing a meal... even get help with homework!

Generations of Love provides both After School and Summer Next Gen programs, so that youth in our community have support year-round. The After School Program coincides with the school calendar. The Summer Program starts shortly after the last day of school and ends shortly before the first day of Fall semester.

Features of the Next Gen Youth Program include:

  • Quality adult supervision and volunteers.
  • Daily programming including activities based on education, recreation, emotional support, and personal development.
  • A variety of activities and learning opportunities scheduled each day.
  • An environment with healthy boundaries that include house rules and appropriate consequences, as described in the participant documentation packet.
  • Transportation for off-site activities.
  • A home-cooked meal and the opportunity to help prepare it.

The After School Program includes transportation from school and help with homework.

In 2025, the Next Gen Summer Program will begin June 2. Program hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Complete the online form to apply to the Next Gen Program. Please Contact Us if you have questions.

GOL staff and volunteers do not provide counseling or participate in incident resolution.

Next Gen Program participants might begin a relationship with Generations of Love from several starting points: parent inquiries; school administration or teacher referral; referrals from county agencies like Ohio Rise, FRC (Family Resource Center), DYS (Department of Youth Services); and from the juvenile court system.
